Our story begins in 2013, amidst the implementation of the Affordable Care Act, with our founders Brandon Combs and Daniel Rich. As brokers, they loved helping individuals and families find affordable health insurance but soon reached the limit of clients they could help. With a strong desire to do more, they made a difficult and pivotal decision to increase their impact by forming a general agency. Health First expanded quickly with new brokers and into new markets, new lines, and new states.
Today, Health First stands as a premier, value-driven general agency, supporting hundreds of brokers representing tens of thousands of individuals and families. We provide brokers with extensive resources from our streamlined contracting processes to our transparent commission management and everything in between. We provide carriers with ethical, educated, and empowered brokers along with our support, insight, and feedback. Brokers and carriers alike value our integrity and partnership.

Brandon Combs
President
Brandon boasts a rich background that includes service as an infantry medic in the Army and extensive experience in Health Insurance. He is inspired by the Affordable Care Act and has committed to creating lasting value for independent agents and agencies to drive positive change in the healthcare landscape. His courageous efforts with peer education, respect and adaptability have driven him to become a dependable leader.

Dan Rich
Chief Financial Officer
Dan is a "Virginia boy" with experience in technology and Health Insurance. He relishes the opportunity to leverage his unique skills to streamline processes and unearth innovative solutions in order to uphold tangible differences in others' lives. Dan leads with integrity and perseverance to promote success.

David Rich
Growth Manager
David, originally from Virginia, has been involved in the Health Insurance industry since the introduction of the Affordable Care Act in 2010. He is a strong advocate for Mental Health and Personal Progress. He draws on those values to put back into his passion for being a resource for broker growth.

Chris Harrison
VP Product
Chris has over 10 years of experience in the Health and Medicare Insurance industry from which he has obtained extensive knowledge from. He is pleased to navigate the complexities of Medicare in order to better assist brokers in that line of business. He strives to maintain a hold on relevant knowledge to integrate real time challenges into the solutionary work he provides.

Mario has over 15 years of experience in the technology industry. His bilingual proficiency in both Spanish and English enhances effective communication. His passion for technology pushes him to stay abreast of industry trends to develop innovative solutions. Isaac holds a B.S. in Web and App Development from Utah Valley University and an A.A.S. in Digital Communication Technology. He is a seasoned web developer with nearly 20 years of experience in the technology sector. He boasts a diverse portfolio, having developed everything from websites for small businesses to complex and large-scale applications. He also served for six years in the U.S. Army Reserve, enhancing his leadership and organizational skills.

Trissa Rodriguez
VP Broker Relations, Compliance
Trissa brings a wealth of leadership experience from her experience in the military in addition to nearly 10 years in property management where she developed skills to help navigate complex challenges with poise and expertise. She is committed to delivering exceptional results and providing invaluable support to brokers and colleagues alike.
